Serge Gevin was hired by Citroën to cheer up 2CVs. Often the sales figures had to be boosted and promotional models worked wonders. It started in ’76 with the SPOT, in orange and white. Then a dark blue Dyane got some white lines and was called Caban. In 1985, after a lot of studies, the first version of the Dolly followed.

This first series was mainly based on gray, with white, red or soft yellow as the second color. The second series became even more fresh in red and white, green and white and beige with burgundy red. In the last series a dark blue/soft yellow combination was added.

The red/white sold the most, the green/white followed at a distance. They were produced for France, England, Austria and Italy, all based on a 2CV6 Spécial. Eventually they were also exported to Germany, but as 2cv6 Club.

This is such a German model, which has been in the Netherlands for a long time. We fixed it up for a customer a long time ago, he drove it for a while, after which it ended up in his garden. We took it out of there a while ago, after which we prepared the car – with the necessary used (body panel) parts – for a more active life.

No, it’s not the prettiest one, if that’s what you’re looking for, we have several other candidates. This is simply a nice riding 2cv, with good floors. You can use it for years to come, with the occasional dab of red or white here and there. We deliver it with a fresh MOT, 123 ignition, fully serviced and with a full tank of petrol.
