Does building a replica of a special series 2CV count as forgery? Well, maybe, but we’re not taking it too seriously in this case because we’re just being honest. In 2005, a customer of ours really wanted a Dolly in this chic colour combination, but we couldn’t find one. So we recreated this one!

We did find an original in 2001, but after that, the source dried up. Most Dollys are red/white or green/white and nice and fresh. The burgundy/yellow one leans more towards a Charleston, but the one in Bleu Nuit and Jaune Rialto really steals the show, in our opinion.

This replica was built on a good foundation, a red 2CV with just under 100,000 km on the odometer. It was completely rebuilt, with fresh paint, interior, floor, and chassis. Now, 20 years and 125,000 km later, it has a slightly more life experience.

The chassis has already been repaired, and it has some rust and scratches here and there, but the first impression remains elegant. Mechanically, it has always been meticulously maintained (by us), so it still drives wonderfully. We just fitted it with new all-season tires, and the roof is also recent.
