Suppose you are looking for a 2cv from your year of birth, 1951, then you probably had to search hard. Only 14,749 were made that year and only a few remain. This is one of them, you found it!

’51 is the third year of production. In the first 2 years very few were built, in ’51 the assembly line started to turn somewhat faster. Despite this, people often had to wait years for delivery.

The restoration of this car was started in France, but unfortunately some parts disappeared. Originality was apparently not the main goal. After this it was further completed in the Netherlands, made driveable and registered.

The original 9hp engine has been replaced by a 12hp, so it is a little less slow. The chassis and rear suspension are also more modern. The doors with folded, instead of pressed, profiles, the original bonnet and an original front wing have been retained.

It will not win the originality price at the Concours d’Elegance (we have another car for that), but nevertheless it is a nice early bird, with the long roof and hammock seats. There is still some room for improvement and additions, so you as an enthusiastic hobbyist can still give it your personal touch.

The price is based on the car as it is; driving, braking, but here too some improvements can be made. Of course we can do that for you at an additional cost.
