A friend of mine bought this 2cv in 2010 in the Loire-Atlantique region.

In ‘81 Citroën introduced a more sophisticated 2cv, the Charleston. Two-tone paint, more luxurious seating and dashing striping on the sides.

You don’t come across a very early Ami 8 Berline, still with drumbrakes, very often. These were only available for a few months.

In 2003, we got this 2cv from France: only 29.000km from new. Since then, it has had two owners who mainly used it during the summer. At 44.000km, an Echange Standard (factory rebuild)-engine was put in, after a drive without enough oil…

About a decade ago, we freed many 2CVs from French barns: often with very little kilometers from new, in perfect state, and from their first owner. This 2CV is one of those. We found it in Gien, a village near Orleans. Just 18.000km from new back then. Some of these 2CVs have gone...

In the Spring of ‘61 Citroën introduced a new model between their popular 2cv and DS, the Ami 6.

At least you can see it lived! Spectators usually have very diverse opinions: “Wow, cool, you should leave it like this!”, “When are you going to restore it?”, and everything in between. A drive in this car elicits both contempt and appreciation around you. In any case, we like it a lot!

Years ago, on my way to school, I saw a yellow 2cv. Since that moment I’ve known how well yellow fits this car. Happy and fresh, yet basic.

From 1963 on, you could order a new, more luxurious version of the 2cv in France: the AZAM. This car was given luxurious seating, a more chique interior and a considerable amount of shiny trim on the outside of the car. The most obvious decorations are “paperclips” attached to the bumper.

On April 10th, 1976, Citroën celebrates having built the 5 millionth 2cv(-related) car with the introduction of the 2cv4 SPOT. It’s the first special series based on a 2cv, later followed by other models like Charleston and Dolly. SPOT is based on the then very popular color Orange Ténéré, combined with white. To...

Yes, it needs some cleaning and attention, but it definitely is a good base for restoration. Before we started on it, our own No. 473 didn’t look very prosperous either.

The Ami was introduced in ’61 as a model between the 2CV and the DS. In ’64, a Break-edition was added. In ’69, the Ami 6 was followed by the Ami 8.

We’ve got another one: a Mehari 4x4! This Mehari is one of 1213 built between 1979 and 1983. It’s unclear whether the distribution ended due to lack of success or rather because they were all produced for the French army. What we know for sure, though, is that you can have endless fun...

We once bought it near Chatellerault, where it was originally delivered. It only had 19.000km from new: soon enough, we found an enthusiastic new owner. Recently, 10 years later, we got the opportunity to sell it for this owner. Sometimes, you just fall in love with another car....

From my first encounter with the Panhard Dyna Z I’ve been intrigued. How can a car have such an adorable face, but still be so surprisingly spacious? How is this such a smooth and light drive with such a small 2-cylinder 850cc boxer? How can a relatively simple design still be so happy...
