From June 6, 1974, Madeleine proudly drove around in her Beige Vanneau Ami 8 Berline. She bought it new and didn’t let it go until 2007. Who owns a car for 33 years these days!

For maintenance she drove from one date to another: she lived on rue du 8 mai 1945 and the Vidal garage was located on Place du 14 juillet. The car was last insured in 2001, so it was probably retired around then.

Madeleine bought it with comfortable fabric upholstery, slightly more ocher than the outside. Although the foam has decayed somewhat, the fabric has remained virtually intact.

She has restyled the exterior slightly during her driving career. Each panel received a small correction in shape or in the paintwork, until it was completely to her liking. A true work of art that deserves to be seen by everyone.

Although she lived fairly close to the Méditerranée, the car has remained pristine underneath, we have rarely seen it so rust-free.

The Ami had been standing still for some time, in 2 collections, for over 15 years. Now we’re busy ensuing that you, just like Madeleine, can enjoy touring with the voiture again.
