A simple 2cv from a humble region. In the Morvan, 2cvs were often driven up to the last wire, not out of luxury. This AZ too. It was last used on the road in 1993, after which it was only used in the forest to collect firewood. The dented trunk and missing back seat bear witness to this.

After this it made a career as a chicken coop. Until 1996, a generous Dutch neighbor paid FF 1000 for it. Pricey for a chicken coop, not bad for a car. The car then stood in the barn of the family home for years, was dismantled once to start a restoration, but still ended up in the attic.

In 2011 a welding machine was taken up to add some new metal to the chassis and floors. According to the then applicable welder’s code for willing hobbyists. The engine and brakes were also revived, after which the neighbor on top of the mountain, the one with the chicken coop, was visited. A bottle of wine was opened on the occasion.

Then it disappeared into the shed again for a while because of other busy activities. It came to the Netherlands a few years ago, but there were no major follow-up plans there either.

So now it’s your turn to make something of it! The registration was at with the chickens, but we do have a birth certificate from Citroën. Registering should therefore not be a problem.
