We previously had 2 Dauphines for sale, but this one is just a bit more exciting. It is a Gordini. A Dauphine whose engine was modified by Amèdée Gordini and whose gearbox received an extra gear. You don’t come across them often.

Certainly not in the Netherlands, but even less often in Sweden. This Gordini was delivered new there in ’62 and remained in the hands of one family for a long time. Unfortunately, the history is not otherwise documented, but the paint thickness gauge did tell us that the paint is still its original!

Naturally, it has been used during its nearly 65-year life; the paint has been retouched here and there, but life wasn’t hard because the interior is still original and in good condition, the mechanics purr beautifully, it drives and brakes well, and it has never been welded.

We do not know if the wheels have always been this sporty red. A previous owner sandblasted and painted them before recently fitting new Michelins. 

We are selling this likeable little car with a sporty spirit for a client. You are buying it as is, on Swedish registration, with some room for improvements. As an enthusiast, you can then customize it even more to your liking, after which you will have a truly unique piece in your garage.
