This cheerful Dyane was found in Granada, Spain. Always neatly cared for by José, who bought it new in ’78. José regularly brought his car into contact with others. Every encounter left some traces on the bodywork.

Just as you wouldn’t erase the notes from a guestbook, you could simply leave the traces of social contact on this Dyane as they are. We would.

Under the surface, it has rarely come into contact with destructive factors, such as moisture. Certainly not with salt. So the Dyane has remained beautifully solid.

The mechanics and everything that put its power onto the road surface, on the other hand, were worn out. But with a new clutch, brakes, exhaust, Michelin tyres, electronic ignition, and fresh 20W50, the little car is now skipping smoothly over the Wormer dikes again.

We have, of course, replaced the hardtop—standard in Spain—with a roll-up roof in the same forget-me-not blue as the bodywork.

The mileage is still nice and low and the world is big, so take this fun little car with you on your adventures.
