35.000 km

In León, Spain, this Dyane has been driving around the church since November 73. It will not have been much further, it only drove 35,000 km in almost 50 years.

Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that the car was modified and approved to operate the gas, brake and clutch manually. It is still mentioned on an attachment to the registration. The probably disabled driver may not have been able to go further or did not think it necessary.

In its almost half century on the world, it has gathered some signs of wear left and right, it doesn’t look bad on it. The fresh impression remains, especially when you drive it. It feels tight and yet supple and the luxurious seats are wonderful.

The Dyane’s in Spain were standard equipped with a hardtop, but we think that spoils the fun here. So a roll-top roof has been fitted, as well as new tires and wheels and some other small stuff.  It will be serviced to make it drive optimally. The modified controls got in the way, so we disassembled it.

To complete the wonderful driving, we have already arranged an NL registration and we’ll also take care of its (last required) APK, after which it is exempt (in NL).
