If you wanted a sporty 2CV in the sixties, you ordered an AZAM6. Provided you lived in the Benelux; they were not available in France. It was a clever idea from the Belgian Citroën factory in Vorst: put a 2CV body on the Ami 6 chassis with the larger 602cc engine. Simple and ingenious.

The AZAM6 was also more luxuriously equipped than the standard 2CV. All kinds of trim, a windscreen washer, brackets on the bumpers, hubcaps, and a more comfortable interior.

This particular example was sold to Mr. Blariaux in ’67 by Louis Tennstedt’s Garage de la Chapelle in Enghien, just south of Brussels. The delivery invoice is still with the car, and in the other paperwork you can see that the new owner also took driving lessons from the garage owner and later stored the car there. It remained in the family until the end of the last century, after which it ended up with a garage owner in Brussels who restored it for his own collection.

A few years ago, it was sold to a local car enthusiast, and we are now offering it for sale on his behalf.

The upholstery is new, the paintwork is particularly fine, it is in excellent technical condition, and we are putting the finishing touches on it for this price. It has a Belgian registration.
