Ami 8 Berline
Filling in maintenance booklets (or having them filled in) is not always Citroën drivers cup of tea. Upon delivery, a few stamps are added, but then empty pages follow. This Ami is no exception. However, we do know that it was delivered to Gaston Negre in Mazamet on 11 January 1972. After that, it stayed fairly close to this southern French village.

The day before its first birthday, the Ami was serviced at a garage in a village further away, the counter indicated 5260 km. After that, it certainly had maintenance, given its further technical condition. It is just not documented.

Early 1975, the car moved from department 81 to the neighbours in the south-east, Herault, number 34. In 2000, the Ami became part of a large collection at Béziers, where it was joined by dozens of other Amis. It remained there until 2019, when it went to North Holland with a few other Amis.

Now it has passed through our hands and we have brought this friend back to life. With new tires, some clean gasoline and a battery we had already come a long way, but with attention to the engine and brakes it became really great.

Due to the limited use in its early life and the periods in the collections, it has been very well preserved. Welding was therefore not necessary. We gladly forgive it a few external traces of use, the interior is still very nice.

Well, it is simply ready for a new and active life. We deliver it ready and with a Dutch registration.
