I didn’t often come across it in the car magazines I used to read and certainly never on the street. Later I did see the A310, which I also thought was very cool. But when was the first time I saw the A110 in the flesh? I have no idea anymore, it must have been in France. But it was immediately burned into my retina, what an insane little car.

So when I once had the opportunity to take it for a spin, I didn’t turn it down, of course. It was this red 1300 – finally not blue – and I liked it! You have to get in there with a shoehorn, not be much taller than my 1.83m and wear narrow shoes, but then the fun can begin. A wonderfully light go-kart.

That must have been what the Spanish singer Peret -King of the Rumba, look him up and you’ll recognize his songs – must have thought, because he was reportedly the first owner. That is stated in the description of the auction where the car was bought by our customer a few years ago. We are now selling the car on behalf of the customer because he does not drive it enough.

It was assembled at FASA in Valladolid, which supplied 1566 Alpines for the Spanish market. It is not the fastest model, but the street version with a 1300cc engine and 81 hp. That is probably why it is still intact, its bigger brother often has circuit experience. In 2017 it won a prize at the Club Alpine Valencia show because of its originality – new paint, still original engine, never restored.

The A110 has a Spanish registration, was serviced in 2024 at a specialist in the Netherlands and was recently fitted with 4 new, period-correct Michelin XAS FF tires (the ones with the soft compound and therefore the most grip). Apart from the tyres, we have not changed anything on the car and we offer it as it is, because we assume that as an enthusiast you want to customize such a car to your own taste.
