AK 400
A Spanish-born and bred Citroën 2CV delivery van, sold in ’77 to the first owner, Francisco, whose name is still present on the doors. Dealer Quiles from Villena in Alicante was the proud supplier and attached his name to it via a set of mud flaps.

Francisco was a small-scale farmer, but with enough space to always keep his 2-cylinder workhorse indoors. It was used for fetching business supplies and was truly cherished, as evidenced by its remarkably original condition.

Naturally, it has a few dents, and a bit of paint has occasionally been added to damaged spots. But rust is hard to find. We haven’t come across one this beautifully original in a long time.

While driving, you really feel that the 54,000 km haven’t been driven over rocky tracks and that the local garage has performed maintenance with love. You feel transported back decades when you take it out on the road; the lack of speed and the excess noise play a positive role in this regard.

The little radio does not yet possess the modernity of FM, just as simply as the car itself, which claims to be nothing more than a 2CV with, in this case, the most spacious cargo bed.

Due to the farmer’s retirement, the AK was allowed to hit the road, with a touch of sentiment at the farewell. It ended up with us and, through us, with a valued customer. There, it was driven sparingly and stored in a very dry place. Now it stands here again, ready for a beautiful future, with a destination that lies in your hands. We are curious!
