Abandoned. That is what we could call it. Left alone in a shed, where it was recently found. Not crying in a basket, but covered in dust, slightly neglected, without an identity. A compassionate person took pity on it and handed its care over to us. A first step towards a new, long, and happy life!

First, we gave it the attention it had lacked for over 35 years. In the washbasin, healthy food… Uh, a wash and polish, fresh oil, petrol, and a battery. And soon enough, we heard the first cheerful signs of life.

The slight neglect left some traces. Nothing shocking, but it was no longer museum-worthy. And since there are already quite a few of those in collections, we decided to get the little 2CV ready for an active life, out among people, ready for the road.

New tires, an exhaust, and a few other things helped it take its first steps again. All technical and cosmetic support is aimed at resocialization, so the odometer will likely continue to rise slightly in the coming period.

After we also found its birth certificate at Citroën, the RDW was more than happy to add it to the automotive population register. The plates with its new name have already been printed, but not yet mounted, because that would require drilling the first holes in the little car. A ritual we would like to coordinate with its future adoptive family.
