2cv6 Club
In 1987, the news came that the delivery of new 2CVs in the Netherlands would stop. There was a final sprint, because a lot of 2CV drivers quickly ordered a new one. One of them was a family from Boxtel. They bought a red 2CV6 Club from dealer Janus van der Meulen from his stock, for just over 10,000 guilders. Their old blue 2CV6 Spécial from ’82 was traded in for 1,500.

It can all be read on the purchase receipt that is still with the car. The family kept the car until very recently and cherished it in the garage. Unfortunately, it has not been driven much lately, the farewell was postponed time and again, until we were allowed to take it with us recently.

It was fully serviced, polished and otherwise pampered. Of course you can see that it has lived and that it has been worked on, but it still stands there radiantly and proudly. We will make sure that you can drive it for another 38 years – as far as we are concerned. But then you have to take just as good care of it as the family from Boxtel.

(The traded-in 2CV is still driving around as well, by the way, says the RDW app.)
