2cv4 SPOT
In order to boost sales figures a bit and appeal to young people, Serge Gevin was asked to design a special 2CV model. It became the 2CV SPOT, in orange and white. A total of 1800 were built and this is one of the few survivors.

Based on a 2CV4 in Orange Téneré, a number of panels were made in Blanc Meije. The interior was given orange fabric upholstery and white/orange striped door panels. A striped sunroof was included.

The first series was intended for the French market. These models all still have a brown dashboard and steering wheel. Then a facelift followed and the dashboard and steering wheel were black. The later delivered cars for the Dutch and other markets were equipped with this.

In England and Switzerland they were delivered as 2CV6. In the Netherlands 400 were delivered, of which 5 remain. Slightly more of the French copies remain, an exact number is not known. But if we have to guess based on what we have come across in the past decades, it will be about 20-30 cars. Quite unique, and a cheerful thing too!

This SPOT came from France to the Netherlands in 2000. It had a few owners here. One of them replaced the slow 2CV4 technology with that of a 2CV6. For the past 15 years it was part of a Citroën collection.

Now you have the chance to imagine yourself in the seventies with this fun and clear project, the color combination makes you instantly happy. The engine has run recently, furthermore it requires attention on a technical and constructive level. The chassis is good, it has a NL registration. And we found the missing sunroof, brand-new!
