In 2014 we found this Dyane, here in the Netherlands, at the second owner!! It was purchased in ’74 with only 16,000 km on the clock and then used for commuting. After the job was terminated, the Dyane disappeared into a garage and was only used occasionally, it had done just under 75,000 km.

It is a Dyane 6 Commercial in Bleu Camargue from early March ’73, still with the blue dashboard. The Commercial points out that you could also use it for business, due to its folding rear seat and flat plate over the trunk.

It has been indoors all its life, the main reason why it is still in such a good condition. It does have some signs of wear and scratches due to driving and storage – but hey – it’s half a decade old…. The registration papers were lost in the mid-1980s, so a new license plate was issued. Luckily we were able to get the original registration number back.

Inside it’s like a time capsule: stickers from the seventies, the unavoidable coconut mats, of course a thermometer glued to the dashboard and even the original fuel cap without lock still in the box of the replacement one with lock: we love that! From 2014 until recently, it has been part of a large collection. Now we have made it ready to go on the road and it drives wonderfully again.
