Alain Gogostiague. Some dealers have a beautiful name, including the one in Nevers in ’89, when this 2cv was delivered. Google doesnt show that he’s still an active dealer, so probably not.

In ’89 the buyer shook hands with the dealer and drove the car out the door. We pick up the next trace of its history in ’11, when it is taken over by a lady from Chevenon, near Nevers. The 2cv is later sold to the Netherlands in 2015, with 59,399 km on the clock.

Shortly afterwards, it changes owners again. It ends up with a collector, where the car was stored dry until recently, with the counter at 59,960 km. A quiet period in its life.

Recently we found it, took it to Wormer and pampered it. The chassis and the floors are in excellent condition, the paint with a few traces of use. We installed a new roof, a new set of tires, a fresh battery and serviced it. It purrs again like a happy cat in a sunny windowsill.

Once an owner decided that he didn’t think the Special benches were comfortable enough and exchanged them for a set of chairs from the early 1980s. With wonderfully soft fabric upholstery, a pleasure to sit on.

So if you’re looking for a good, nice driving and sunny 2cv, or a car that matches your bowl of vanilla custard; it is in our showroom, ready for adventure.
