In ’19 we already told the story of this Mehari; In 1990 it became second-hand near Rotterdam. Once started in yellow, but sprayed red in the 1980s. In its Dutch existence it has driven 85,000 km. A two-seater with a business registration, which it still has.

It was purchased to dispose of garden waste at an Italian holiday home, but was also regularly used for pleasure rides and even camping trips: there are still photos of it. Because it had longer loads regularly, the license plate was mounted in a hinge, so it remained visible when the flap was open.

After a number of years of use, it disappeared into the garage of the holiday home, from which it only came out about 7 years ago. At that moment the Mehari came to us through the son. We serviced it so it could be used again in Italy. That happened after that, but so little that the family decided it could have more adventures elsewhere.

With the new owner it did that, 12,000 km long. Mostly in the neighborhood, once with family to LeMans. A hardtop was purchased which comes with the car, and a number of things were adjusted.

And it’s time for a change again… it was traded in, which gives you the opportunity to come up with new plans.
