Garage van Oord from Maarssen delivered this 2CV in ’86. It was used daily, but was always kept indoors. In ’91 the odometer already had just over 70,000 km on it. When it was 10 years old, in ’96, it was handed over to the son. Shortly afterwards the meter went round for the first time, as if starting a new life.

The car was used in various places in the Netherlands, each time as an additional means of transport to take the dogs to the park, woods or beach. It was always kept indoors and regularly cleaned and maintained (by us).

Still, with regular use 3 to 5 times a week, it wore and rusted like a 2CV should. The chassis and floors have therefore been replaced at some point. The ventilation flap has also been replaced by a stainless steel one (to which the paint adheres less well).

In short, it does have some traces of use and it shows its age, but it drives excellently and reliably and always cheers you up with its bright red color. The counter recently went around again, as a sign of a new start, with you!
