Farmall Cub

1955-'58

I was buying a batch of cars and saw something appealing in the garden; a uniquely designed tractor. How did you come up with the idea to place the engine off-center and thus make it asymmetrical? Because of the mowing bar that is on it, you can immediately see what the advantage was; you can see what you are doing.

Since there was still a 9th spot on the car transporter, it was allowed to come along. Such a great patina looks good on a car, but also on a tractor. The front tires were torn, which made it impossible to steer, and it didn’t add to its appeal. So we replaced them. The engine has already been sprayed with penetrating oil, but we haven’t really done our best to get it moving yet.

What to do with it? Well, uhm. Leaving it like that is actually the best thing, there are already enough shiny tractors. But do you make it technically ready or do you use it for decoration? We’ll leave that up to you. Even if you want to restore it to its original glory, we will advise you against it 3 times and then let you go ahead.

This model was built by International Harvester under various brand names, from ’47 to ’79. It was their smallest model. This example was built between ’55 and ’58 in the French factory in St. Dizier. Price based on the condition it is in now, with clear type number, without registration.
