Since the 1980s, this Mehari has been owned by an enthusiast who once started the restoration. Then it disappeared, in parts, into the shed. It came to us via a few detours. 

The plastic wasn’t much, but the chassis and tubular frame were perfect. These were therefore well preserved and put back together. We have added a set of modern technics; the last type of engine and a gearbox with disc brakes.

The tyres, wheels, exhaust, seats and many other parts have been renewed. The plastic body is completely new and rebuilt with a mix of its own and new parts.

This resulted in a smoothly driving Mehari, with a nice classic look. It is a two-seater, but the body is prepared for conversion to a four-seater. Of course it also has a roof frame, the hood is complete and brand new.
