The HY was conceived in a very modular way. With a fairly spacious interior and straight angles, it has a lot of volume in it and you can easily fit any interior. It was also quite easily extended and raised by various coachbuilders.

As a chassis-cab it was used by a lot of coachbuilders to carry their creation. Livestock trucks were made at Heuliez, L’Igloo from Nîmes built refrigerated trucks on them.

A fiberglass, well-insulated box was screwed onto the back, containing a cooling unit. All your meats, fish or ice creams were safe in it.

This L’Igloo was delivered in 1972 in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department and has always remained registered there, with a beautiful registration number for a HY.

Not much is known about the further history, but it has in any case been well maintained. The chassis is still in excellent condition, as are the cabin and cargo area. The Indenor-Diesel is not blocked, but we haven’t had time to revive it yet.

So if you looking to transport your ice cream, champagne, herring or meat (replacement) in a classic way; this is your set of wheels.

I you want to sell your products out of it, it is quite easy to build a cool-looking food truck out of it. Saw a hatch in it, give it a nice color and you’re done. In any case, you have sufficient headroom.

Also for campers who love winter sports; it is very well isolated!

Price is based on the bus as is. The French papers have once disappeared, but a duplicate can be obtained.
