The successor to the AK 400 was called Dyane 400 in Spain. The rest of Europe called it Acadiane. The body was similar to that of the AK 400, but the chassis was a bit longer to fit the nose of a Dyane. The advantage of this was that you had a lot more space behind the wheel. The streamline was better as well and it had a little more power, so you could actually overtake trucks!

They were delivered from 1978 to 1987, when they were succeeded by the C15. The majority was built in the Spanish factory in Vigo, including this one.

Dealer SAMSA in Reus, near Tarragona, handed over the keys of this Dyane 400 on November 27, 1980 to Mr. Martorell from Constanti, a village quite near. This village remained its home base, even when it changed ownership in 2005. It moved to an address a few blocks south. A leaflet about crop protection that we found in the car may say something about what it was used for, hobby or professional gardening. Presumably for hobby, because the cargo area has not suffered much.

Dry, sunny and dusty; the image of the environment it lived in and also of this Dyane 400. We were able to scoop quite a bit of sand out of it. These factors have ensured that it has remained very well preserved. We gave it a good cleaning, technical attention and a set of new tires to prepare it for a new active phase in his life. It is up to you – the new owner – to decide how you’re going to enjoy it.
