The Burton, a sporty kit-car based on the 2CV structure, was developed in 2000. You would take the chassis and technique of a 2CV during the winter, and build a great car for exploring the countryside roof-less during summertime.

This car used to be a 2cv from ’75, or presumably its remnants. Either way, about 10 years ago, its chassis and technique were recycled in order to build this Burton. The chassis was strengthened to ensure its sporty future: it could have been done a bit more tidy, but it sure is firm. The technique was reused. Most Burtons have disc brakes, but this Burton’s drum brakes – which work absolutely fine – perhaps make it a bit more classic…
This car has a wooden dashboard, including classic clocks, which really adds to its looks. The speedometer runs up until 220 km/h, which seems a bit exaggerated to us. It comes with a soft top, detachable steering wheel and a small suitcase rack for your picnic basket. All in all, ready for some great drives in the summer sun.
It has recently been MOT’d and had a full service.
