The dealer in Limoges probably didn’t think it would still be there 37 years later, this Acadiane. After all, they were made for a few years of utilitarian use and therefore worn out quickly. But it is still there and has even had life-prolonging surgery recently.

Until a few years ago it drove around in the Limousin, and was used a lot. Because they were technically tough and Contrôl Technique did not look very carefully at rust formation, many 2cv vans were given a second life. Often even heavier than their first, on a farm, to take garbage to the déchetterie or for hunting. Maintenance or nurturing was of minor importance.

This car was therefore very worn when it was taken to the Netherlands. The floor boards , pedal box, wheel arches, everything that was rusty has been removed and renewed. The chassis has also been replaced by a galvanized one. We take on some technical finishing and then it can travel with you. Just be kind to it.
