This Charleston had been parked for a while, when we bought it. From the start we felt, after restoration, it could become a very good one. Sometimes you just feel it…

And we were right. The restoration went well, the technique wasn’t stubborn, it was a pleasure working on it, very pleased with the result.

What happened before that? The only thing we know of the first owner, is he/she took good care of it and drove it for 45.017km until ‘96. Then it was bought at garage Mooyman in The Hague by one of our clients, we’ve got the bill of sale with it. Documentation showed that from ’91 on the kilometrage of 33.555 grew in a logical line up to the previously mentioned number.

First it was used daily, then as a second car. On holidays it explored Tuscany thoroughly. After that it became the third car in the family: was it a promotion or degradation? Live became busier and the 2cv was put on hold. Some 18.000km were added, not too much for a period of 20 years, of which 6 years in a storage.

Now it’s ready again for its next career. As a first, second, third,… car?

Of course it will come with the tank filled, a new APK and ready to be enjoyed.
