It is a quite early one. Nice and simple, with the old ripple bonnet and the long roof.

The 2cv came on the market in ’49 and was first made in small numbers, the waiting time was long. The original 2cv -the A- had 9hp, no luxury and was only available in 1 color. In the following years, the production numbers grew and it was further developed. For example, in ‘54 the AZ model was introduced, with a 12 hp engine. From ’57 on they became available with a metal boot lid. This is now the most common model.

This is such a quicker AZ, but still without the bootlid. It gives it an even more classic look. The roof has a larger rear window, of a somewhat later model, which gives a bit more visibility. But of course you can also order the old style linen roof with a small window. Then it looks like the split window beetle among the 2cv’s again.

It drives well and is structurally and technically sound. The rest is just as it is; repainted once, not completely original on some points, but very nice. An ancient 2cv that you can drive away with.
